Let's face it. Getting real estate leads is what full time real estate agents do to keep feeding their families, paying their bills and serving the community. Top agents work diligently to keep the calls, emails and other contact coming in bound and often spend tens of thousands of dollars on traditional and new media marketing.

With printed media readership down in almost every instance agents are now, more that ever, required to be cost conscious about their return on their investment when searching for real estate client referrals by advertising in newspapers, magazines and other printed media. Here, too, as with most other aspects of business management, local markets have varying results.

Real estate clients today have access to much more information simply by going online. While referrals from friends and family still hold very high value in today's connected world friends and family may be states away and not know anyone in the client's area for recommendation. When making real estate client referrals one of the most important aspects of the exchange is knowing the agent to whom you are referring your friends, family or co-workers is a trustworthy and expeditious provider of real estate services.

While agents often and regularly refer clients to one another we "ordinary people" rarely are called on to make a real estate client referral. When it happens how do we handle the situation? Do we have a ready list of real estate agents in the area where our friend is shopping to whom to make the referral? It always pays to know someone and if you are an agent it always pays to be someone who comes to mind first.

Doing a search engine check on the terms "real estate client referrals" returns, wouldn't you know it, a company by the name of Real Estate Client Referrals! I don't know about you but I really like it when the name of a company explicitly reflects the service they provide.
